Wedding Trip Part 1 – Friends and Family

What a fun trip! What a whirlwind of a trip! Only 10 days on American soil! But we’re back now and we’d like to share a few highlights, scattered through several posts. Too much to say in just one!

We saw God’s hand during the whole time and we’re so thankful for how all the details came together for this one BIG event. And we now have a DAUGHTER! Yay!  Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bruner!!

On the way to the U.S. we stayed for two nights in Brisbane, Australia with the Vanderduys family. They have been friends of ours here in Ukarumpa, but left in December as their son, Joel, graduated from high school early. Joel was Luke’s best friend and so it was great for them to see each other. They had a fun time together (along with classmate Levi who traveled with us) and it was also wonderful for John and I to catch up with Craig and Sharon.

John and Craig wishing they were a Bee Gee :)

Sadly, there were a lot of people that we saw during the wedding week that we didn’t get a picture of (or even get to talk to for that matter), but it meant so very much that they were there, wanting to be a part and a support of this big day in our family’s life. Thanks to all of them!!

Here’s a few random pictures of friends and family:

Having my dear Solomon Island friend and her daughter share a motel room with us was so special

We’ll post another update about Grant’s graduation in a couple of days. Until then, thanks for reading!

  1. Praising God for His blessings and answered prayer for safe travels and a great time with wedding and graduations. Your head must be swimming for all that has gone on. My mother, who remember you as her Pioneer girl, Brena, and supported you as you grew and went into ministry ( I took over after she passed), would have been so happy for all of you. God is good all the time!!
