What a blessing to have had my (Brena’s) dad and step-mom here for almost a month. It meant so much that they flew all this way to be able to see us and the place where we live and work.
Not only did we spend a lot of time visiting and catching up, but they were also a BIG help to us. My dad spent hours working on our bathroom – building a linen closet, putting up trim, and helping John install the shower. Jane helped me tremendously in the kitchen – baking for events, cooking meals and washing dishes. She also hung out a million loads of laundry. And then she helped me put on a Village Ladies Tea, Café, and Coffee House!
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of their visit!
They made it!! (but they were exhausted!)
John and my dad spent hours sawing and measuring and hammering….
The beautiful linen closet my dad made for us
Silly Grandpa — and at every meal exclaiming how much food Luke could eat! :)
Jane, my kitchen help-mate!
Jane quickly learned how many times you can take off and on the laundry in one afternoon because of the rain showers!
Jane helped me put on a Village Ladies Tea
and a Cafe!

Hi Brena,
What great photos of your family during your special visit from your dad and step-mom. You have really been a busy family these past few weeks!
I’m getting ready to head for Florida next Saturday and really looking forward to a break. If you think of it would you send my sil email address to Dorothy and Fred. I’d like to reconnect with them, maybe even stop by when I’m in Orange Park visiting my aunts.
Would you and John pray for the plans to come together for the village recording to finish Bughotu? Pr Andrew went to Isabel last week to meet with the Bishop about Bible translation in the province. He said that the Bishop said he was starting to understand more of the importance of Bible translation and would like to support getting the remaining ones started and/or completed.
I sent a letter to the Bishop by Pr Andrew and now need to follow up to get connected out there for planning for a trip by the Runias and the team in March.
Love and prayers,
cynthia

They are an amazing pair! What a gift to have their visit and help! We loved getting to see them in Riverside on our trip. They were so interested in everything and were really encouraging to us. It was good to get to know Jane better too. I feel very blessed to know both of your parents and families ☺️.
Love, Robyn

John and Brena,
What wonderful news of love, life, encouragement and laughter with your father and step-mother’s visit. I trust you are refreshed and fulfilled having had them with you. Now that they have headed home, may you enjoy quieter moments yet reflect on the gift of their presence.
If you have a moment, when and where did your father meet Jane? She seems like a delight. Her countenance reflects peace and joy. I trust that is the case.
May you be blessed for your faithfulness and humble spirits in bringing God’s Word to those who haven’t hear God speak their language, yet.
Much love and admiration for you guys,
Doug H
